The MDU (Fiber-to-the-Apartment) possess the same infrastructure as the FTTH until the Termination, where the difference consists in the type of equipment’s utilized to connect the customers.
In the Termination, the MDU solution basically consist of three different types of distribution boxes: at the base of the building, on each floor and inside the apartment. Each one of them has connectorized and splicing versions. In general, for small buildings it is possible to remove the boxes from the floors and connect the apartments directly from the main box at the base of the building.
The connectorized solution is suitable due to its greater flexibility in the installations.
We also have optical termination points inside the environment of the end user and the last element is an optical cord that connects the final equipment (ONU) to the termination point.

OUR NETWORKS

Equipment Central
This is the start of networks where the optical transmission equipment (OLTs), Optical Distributors (DIOs and DGOs), splitters, racks and cords are installed.

Distribution Network
This is responsible for the transition of large formation optical fiber cables from the central to small formation cables that reach the subscriber box. The key product for this part is the optical splice box and the optical splitter.

Access Network
Here we have the transition from outdoor to indoor distribution network cables. The key products for this part of the network are optical termination boxes and access cables, such as the drop cables.

Termination Network
At the end of the network where we can find the 3 boxes that define the MDU topology is where the transition is made from the internal drop cables of the network for the connection of termination equipment’s (ONT/ONU).
In this part, we have products that are specially made for it, like optics cables specially adapted for the environment and compact termination boxes which guarantee the best solution for the costumer.
